Chinatown
Arch to Vine Streets, from 8th to 11th Streets. First Chinese business opened on 10th Street in 1850.

Fairmount
Also known as the Art Museum Area. West of Broad Street, between Girard Avenue and Spring Garden Streets.

Logan Square
Area from Schuylkill River to near Broad Street, from Market Street to Spring Garden Street, now Logan Circle.

Old City
Bounded by Delaware River, Walnut Street, Spring Garden Street and 4th Street.

Poplar
North of Chinatown, between Spring Garden and Northern Liberties.

Queen Village
Below South Street, along Delaware River to the vicinity of 8th and Carpenter Streets.

Rittenhouse Square
Southwest quarter of Center City, in the vicinity of Rittenhouse Square.

Society Hill
South from Walnut Street, bounded on the west by 7th Street and on the east by Front Street. Originally a hill, deeded by William Penn to the Free Society of Traders, organized by Penn as a stock company to promote Philadelphia and Pennsylvania.

Southwark
Along the Delaware River just south of South Street. Oldest section of Philadelphia.

West Philadelphia
The part of Philadelphia located west of Schuylkill Avenue and north of Baltimore Avenue.
