Nice, the Arabic one. Do you have plans to list a similar course in Hebrew ? I got a Tanakh in Hebrew off scripture4all.org, which is a brilliant work, but it has no audio. I am famous for not liking teachers, audio books work excellent for me.
Thanks in advance,

I have always wante to speak another langauge. imagine the foreign people who comes the the USA can do it. Why can't we? I have done this by cassette tapes in the 90's but now there are great for spanish, french, chinese(mandarin), portuguese, german, italian, and more including indigenous and endangered languages. Imagine that, learning a endangered language to keep it alive. My new quest is to learn french. I have learned portuguese which is a romance language so hopefully it will not be too hard. What a great resource for language learners. When I was tutoring foreigners in ESL, I wish downloadable books such as the American idioms resource had been available for them. The idioms are interesting parts of any language, but can be really baffling to outsiders. Diane - Cincinnati, Ohio

Business world is no looking at Australia and U.A.E as the biggest market after the US. With Australia, its not an issue to communicate as English language is understood anywhere within Australia, however there is a problem communicating with U.A.E as they are more focused on Arabic. Some companies within U.A.E has external communication person who can properly communicate in English but there are still a lot of local companies which are unable to communicate except Arabic. I personally think a person who knows Arabic can provide a profitable communication between companies in US and UAE.
Some of the websites offering Arabic languages courses are:

www.madinaharabic.com

One of the most important things I noticed that in language learning I don't have to spend too much time with a difficult words and phrases. Instead I can just skip them and focus on more easy content. Later I will found these more difficult words in the another context ant then often I can understand and remember them more easily. - Vilnius

Same here , before moving to china i tried my best to equip myself by learning it over the cd and things like that but , finally learnt that the best education is the practical way of learning. we need to speak it up with the native speakers, make mistakes as many as possible so that we are taught the right way to speak.
well this is my bitter experience , but the best which made my day finally.
yup, really...

Pimsleur is definitely good, though I think to really learn to speak, you need the "interactiveness" that you can only have with a real conversational partner. There's a site I found that goes into this in more detail: www.language-learning-tips.com , it has some great info. Earl - Baltimore
