Central Library Parking
  • Parking kiosks are available on the streets surrounding the library. In addition to coins and Smart Cards, bills and credit cards may be used for payment at these devices. The device issues a printed ticket you place inside your windshield curbside.

    • Free Saturday Parking for Holiday Shoppers
      To support holiday shopping, meter parking city wide will be free every Saturday between November 24 and December 29, 2012, after 11 a.m. All other parking violations will be enforced.

    • Free Meter Parking on Wednesdays
      PPA offers FREE meter parking in Center City after 5 p.m. on Wednesday evenings, except for rush-hour zones, which are free after 6:30 p.m. The boundaries are from the Delaware River to the Schuylkill River and from Bainbridge to Spring Garden Streets.

  • Philadelphia Parking Authority lot behind the library: Callowhill Street between 19th and 20th Streets: 215.683.9813.

  • There are two designated handicapped parking spaces on Wood Street. Enter Wood Street from 19th Street and drive towards 20th Street. The handicapped spaces will be on your left just before the wheelchair ramp by the rear library entrance.
