Esslinger Cold Chest, 1960

Caption: Consumers of Esslinger Beer can now get their supplies in a special package that actually keeps the beer cold, the Aluminum Co. of America announced. The special "cold chest" is an "iceless icebox" which will keep canned beer cold for up to six hours in the hot sun. The unusual package was developed by Stone Container Corp. with the assistance of Alcoa.
