Barbara Gittings was one of the organizers of this extremely popular attraction. The pamphlet goes on to discuss Barbara Gittings and her associates' activism within the ALA in general, including promoting gay-oriented materials in libraries, various programs, the Gay Task Force, printing of the "Gay Bibliography", and founding of the ALA Gay Book Award.
