Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The name is framed by a heart that supports the leaves of a large tulip in the center of the drawing. At the top is an eagle holding a cache of arrows in his claws, and a red, white and blue banner in his beak. Several small decorative motifs flank the tulip. This drawing may have been a bookplate.
A drawing made for Francis Weisel of Bedminster Township, Bucks County and dated 1838 has a closely-related eagle motif.
