Wie ein vogel lieblich singet, In dein Feld \ und grünen wald, Daß es in der Luft \ erklinget, Und im ganzen wald erschalld, Also, Gott, \ auch mein gemüth, Dankt dir Früh Für dei \ ne güt, Und erkennt dein grosse treue, Die all \ morgen ist ganz neue. 1856
Translation:
The gate is narrow and the path is tight that leads to life and few are there that will find it in the Evangelist Matthew 7:14.
As a bird lovely sings in your field and green forest, that it rings in the air and echoes in the whole forest, likewise, God, my mind thanks you early for your goodness, and acknowledges your great faithfulness, which is new every morning. 1856.
