Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text, with the first three lines in Fraktur and the remainder in German scrip, extends across the entire document. The first three words are particularly prominent, and the first letter is written in decorative calligraphy. The text is surrounded on the sides by tulips and on the top by tulips and rosettes or six-pointed stars. See FLP 362 and 432 for drawings of the tulips in the same style.

Jesus aber ging \ An den öhlberg. 2. Und frühe morgens \ kam er wieder in den tempel, und alles \ Gott kam zu ihm: und er setzte sich, und Lehrete sie. 3. Aber die \ Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer brachten ein Weib zu ihm, Im Ehebruch \ Inbegriffen; Und stellten sie ins mittel dar. 4. Und sprachen zu ihm: Meister, dis \ Weib ist bregriffen auf frischer That im ehebruch; 5. Moses aber hat uns im ge= \ setz geboten, Solche zu steinigen; Was sagest Du? 6. Das sprachen sie aber, \ Ihn zu versuchen: Auf daß sie eine safhe zu ihm hätten. aber Jesus bückte (John 8 \ Chapter) [text breaks off]

Translation:

But Jesus went to the olive mountain.
2. And early in the morning he went again to the temple, and God came to him, and he sat down and taught them.
3. But the scribes and Pharisees brought to him a woman that was taken in adultery, and put her in their midst.
4. And spoke to him: Master, this woman was taken in the act of adultery.
5. But Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned. What do you say?
6. But they spoke this in order to tempt him, so that they would have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down (John 8) [text breaks off]
