Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text is in the center of the document. It is surrounded by a circular border that is entwined by a leafy vine. The content of the text and its Christmas-inspired message suggests this fraktur is of Moravian origin. The text is stanza 7 from Paul Gerhardt's Christmas hymn Fröhlich soll mein Herze springen (All my heart this night rejoices), which he wrote in 1653.
