Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur extends across the top of the pages. The first word is written in particularly decorative letters. Below the text is music. This music book was made in Snow Hill Cloister, a sister of the Ephrata Cloister. It began as a congregation in Antietam, Maryland in 1763 and reached its peak from 1820 to 1840 near Quincy, Franklin County, PA.  Snow Hill fraktur date primarily from the mid-1800s. This music book includes a total of forty-nine hymns on fifty leaves. For additional leaves from the book, see FLP 208, FLP 209, FLP 210, FLP 211, and FLP 212.

1. ALL dein Thun und deine Thaten sollen die in \ Gott gerathen, so halt aus bis das Gericht deine besten Werck zernicht 144.

Translation:

1. All your deeds and your doings shall have their counsel in God. So persevere until the judgment destroys your best works. 144.
