Hand-drawn; hand-colored; hand-lettered. The text in Fraktur extends across the top of the pages. The first word is written in particularly decorative letters. Below the text is music. This music book was made in Snow Hill Cloister, a sister of the Ephrata Cloister. It began as a congregation in Antietam, Maryland in 1763 and reached its peak from 1820 to 1840 near Quincy, Franklin County, PA. Snow Hill fraktur date primarily from the mid-1800s.
