Initial E with Jonah being swallowed by the whale, beginning the Book of Jonah (verso), and an Initial U with Micah speaking to the people, beginning the Book of Micah

The illuminator of this manuscript, William de Brailes, is one of only two illuminators in England from the thirteenth century whose name is known. His workshop was located on Catte Street in Oxford, England.

This manuscript has been dated to ca. 1230-1240.
