Opening with the Massacre of the Holy Innocents, the Flight into Egypt, the Wedding at Cana, and the Baptism of Christ

The miniatures in this opening are part of a cycle of twenty-four full-page miniatures depicting forty-eight scenes from the life of Christ. The cycle forms a pictorial preface to the text of the Psalms.

This manuscript has been dated to ca. 1225-1240.
